Jerome P. Reif has dedicated his law practice to leadership in innovative estate planning, elder law, and business succession planning tools and strategies that help families protect their wealth. His practice emphasizes strategies that avoid probate, minimize estate and income taxes, and maximize retirement, wealth preservation and business succession planning.
Mr. Reif is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the American, Michigan and Saginaw County Bar Associations, and the Northeast Michigan Estate Planning Council. He is a recipient of a Certificate from the State Bar of Michigan in Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate Law. He is admitted to all Michigan and Federal Courts including the U.S. Supreme Court, District Court and Tax Court and is an accredited attorney for Veteran benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs, office of General Counsel. He graduated from Michigan State University (B.A. Pre-Law) and Wayne State Law School (J.D.). Following law school he was honored to be the law clerk to Chief Justice Thomas E. Brennan of the Michigan Supreme Court. He then opened his law practice in Saginaw where he still practices.
He is frequently invited to lecture or present workshops and seminars to financial advisors, accountants, schools and community groups.
